Ham & Cheese Braid
Last week I made this and it was a huge hit! We served it with homemade potato soup and they cleaned up every bite. Next time I would line the pan because the cheese goes everywhere.
Ingredients:
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 1 1/3 cups sliced or chopped up ham (I cut mine into bite-sized chunks.)
- 2/3 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup honey mustard
Directions:
- Roll out crescent rolls vertically on a baking sheet, do not separate.
- Seal all the perforations.
- Mix ham, cheese and mustard.
- Spread the mixture down the center of the crescent rolls.
- Cut (aprx.) 10 strips on each side of the dough.
- To braid, lift strips of dough across mixture to meet in center, twisting each strip on turn.
- Continue alternating strips to form a braid.
- Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes - until lightly browned.
